According to the new German law, starting from October 1, 2024, the M+S symbol (Mud and Snow) will no longer fulfill the winter tire requirement in Germany. Only tires with the Alpine symbol (a snowflake on a mountain) will be permitted. Tires that have both the M+S symbol and the Alpine symbol are also allowed.
